What to expect
Choose between a 5km trail run (2 laps) with around 120 metres of climbing, or a 2.5km trail run (1 lap) with approximately 60 metres of climbing along the deer park’s shelterbelt.
The route follows a 4x4-width track — mostly grassy, but expect plenty of mud along the way!
You’ll spot our three herds of deer from a safe distance as you run — though we expect they’ll be wondering what’s going on! Who knows… maybe Rudolph will make an appearance?

There won’t be any extra prizes… unless we manage to reel in a few generous sponsors (nudge nudge, wink wink to anyone who knows a friendly company!). Winners will still get the glory — and a moment of fame on our stage!
Everyone gets a medal!
Additional Information
The race is suitable for both adults and children, though any children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
You’ll pass through the event centre at the halfway point (for those completing two laps), where you’ll be met with a raucous round of applause!
At the finish line, back at the event centre, you’ll receive a medal — and possibly a mince pie!
After the race, join us for a relaxed post-race hangout with hot dogs, burgers, music, and a chance to socialise with the Park animals. So be sure to stick around!
The Deer Park shop will also be open, selling venison and other park-related goodies.
Parking & Logistics
As parking is tight, the more people you can fit in your car, the more competitors we can have. There is space for 50 cars on the park so entries will need to close when we reach this capacity. When you arrive at the yard gate, a marshall will check your entry and allocate you a parking space. Parking is included in your entry fee. If you can run or cycle to the event, we can guaranteed your entry! Secure storage of bikes is available.
