Description
This is where the Burn Series began with the first ever Burn 6 hour in Cardiff in 2010. Now it's the only Adventure Race in the UK which is 100% off road. You will have 6 hours to find as many check points as you can on foot and bike and do a short kayak. You will experience incredible world class single trail, far reaching views over to Exmoor and get to ride through extensive forestry land. It's not for the faint hearted and good navigation skills are needed!
Race Timings
Briefing at 08:15. Mass start at 08:30. Last finish at 14:30. Prize Giving at 15:30. We ask that you arrive at registration 30 minutes prior to the start.

Further Race Information
DISTANCES & PHASES You will have 6 hours to collect as many check points as you can on foot (approximately 15km) & bike (approximately 50km) and to do a short 1km kayak. There will be some special challenges along the way.
TIMINGS & RESULTS You will be given a timing device to record your time and results will be based on those collecting all check points first and then based on time second.
FOOT & CYCLING PHASES The terrain is very varied with gravel, stone, grass and tarmac tracks as well as single trails at the world class mountain biking centre in Afan forest. Expect plenty of climbing and descending both on foot and bike, somewhere in the region of 2000 metres.
KAYAKING PHASE The kayaking phase is short and will be around four buoys in the lake. All kayaks and kayaking equipment is provided.
ELECTRIC BIKES The use of Electric bikes is permitted, however you must register as non - competitive. This means you will still receive a race time but it won't be featured in the results. If you'd like to do this please e-mail us after you have entered.
Parking & Logistics
BIKE HIRE Bikes can be hired directly from Margam Park Adventure which lies 200 metres from our event centre. Please contact them directly to make a booking.
PARKING Parking is available at the main entrance to the park. We will cover the cost of parking for you.
CATERING Hot & cold snacks and drinks will be available to purchase near the event centre.
ACCOMMODATION There is plenty of accommodation in the surrounding area including camping and B&B's. Red Rock Wild Campsite has just opened right next door to Margam Park making it super convenient!
